A history of conservation in the Salish Sea
On Saturday, 02-Nov-2024 at 1:00 pm, together with the Bowen Island Public Library, we invited Sheila Harrington to talk about her new book, “Voices for the Islands: Thirty Years of Nature Conservation on the Salish Sea“.
Sheila is a resident of Lasqueti Island and a tireless advocate and conservationist. Her book chronicles the three decade legacy of passionate Salish Sea island residents who have dedicated much of their lives to protecting nature in determined, creative ways. We were delighted that Sheila visited Bowen Island and included a chapter about the Conservancy in her book.
