Sep-2012: Visit to Apodaca Provincial Park

On Sunday, 16 September 2012, with support from BC Parks, the Bowen Island Conservancy organized a memorable morning outing to Apodaca Provincial Park, which is located on the eastern shore of Bowen Island.

The Park is normally only accessible by water, but we arranged for both land and water access. In our party we had not only hikers, but also participants who preferred a boat ride.

It was a beautiful morning, and a rare chance to visit the park as part of an organized group, to see the lovely coastal shoreline, rocky cliffs, and scenic views. Alan Whitehead and Adam Taylor talked about the onshore ecology and marine foreshore during the visit.
